Description

A rich and comforting creamy tom yum soup packed with shrimp, mushrooms, and bold Thai flavors balanced with citrus and spice.


Ingredients

  • 300 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 200 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, smashed
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken broth, lemongrass, garlic, and lime leaves, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add mushrooms and chili paste, stirring well.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink and tender.
  5. Stir in coconut milk, fish sauce, and lime juice.
  6. Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
