Description

A refreshing iced milk green tea with creamy milk, smooth green tea flavor, and chewy tapioca pearls. This homemade bubble tea style drink is cool, lightly sweet, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons loose leaf green tea or 1 green tea bag
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup cooked tapioca pearls
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Heat water until hot but not boiling.
  2. Place green tea in a cup and pour the hot water over it.
  3. Let the tea steep for about 3 minutes then remove the tea leaves or tea bag.
  4. If needed, cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions and set aside.
  5. Stir sugar or honey into the warm tea until dissolved.
  6. Fill a tall glass with the cooked tapioca pearls and ice cubes.
  7. Pour the cooled green tea over the ice.
  8. Add the milk slowly and stir gently before serving.

Notes

  • Allow the tea to cool before adding milk for the best flavor.
  • Freshly cooked tapioca pearls provide the best chewy texture.
  • Adjust sweetness based on personal preference.
