Description

Soft and chewy mango sticky rice rolls filled with sweet ripe mango and drizzled with creamy coconut sauce, a tropical dessert that is simple and irresistible.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the glutinous rice for at least 30 minutes, then drain.
  2. Prepare a steamer and bring water to a simmer.
  3. Line the steamer and steam the rice for 20 minutes until tender.
  4. Mix warm rice with half of the coconut milk, sugar, and salt, then let it absorb.
  5. In a saucepan, heat remaining coconut milk with cornstarch until slightly thickened.
  6. Lay out the sticky rice, add mango slices, and roll into logs.
  7. Slice and drizzle with coconut sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe mango for best flavor
  • Do not skip soaking the rice
