- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Rinse and soak the glutinous rice for at least 30 minutes, then drain.
- Prepare a steamer and bring water to a simmer.
- Line the steamer and steam the rice for 20 minutes until tender.
- Mix warm rice with half of the coconut milk, sugar, and salt, then let it absorb.
- In a saucepan, heat remaining coconut milk with cornstarch until slightly thickened.
- Lay out the sticky rice, add mango slices, and roll into logs.
- Slice and drizzle with coconut sauce before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe mango for best flavor
- Do not skip soaking the rice
