Juicy grilled Thai style chicken satay skewers served with a creamy peanut sauce. This flavorful street food inspired dish is smoky, nutty, and perfect for appetizers or dinner.

- 500 g boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into strips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/3 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons crushed peanuts
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat.
- In a bowl mix peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, honey, cumin, paprika, and warm water until smooth.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes.
- Thread chicken strips onto skewers and coat with some of the sauce.
- Grill skewers for 8 to 10 minutes turning occasionally until cooked through and lightly charred.
- Sprinkle crushed peanuts and chopped cilantro over the skewers.
- Serve warm with remaining peanut sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Marinate chicken longer for deeper flavor.
- Use medium heat to prevent drying the chicken.
- Extra peanut sauce can be used as a dipping sauce or drizzle.
