- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon beet powder
Instructions
- Prepare steamer and bring water to a gentle simmer.
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, warm water, and oil to form a soft dough.
- Let the dough rest until soft and slightly risen.
- Divide dough and mix beet powder into one portion.
- Roll both dough portions flat and stack them.
- Roll into a log and slice into equal pieces.
- Place in steamer and cook for 15 minutes.
- Let rest briefly before serving.

- Do not overfill the colored layer
- Keep dough soft for best texture
