- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil
- 2 tablespoons Thai tea mix
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
Instructions
- Prepare a tray lightly dusted with cornstarch.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together glutinous rice flour, sugar, milk, and oil until smooth.
- Microwave in short intervals, stirring between each interval until the dough becomes thick and stretchy.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream, Thai tea mix, and condensed milk until thick and creamy. Chill briefly.
- Flatten portions of mochi dough and place a small scoop of filling in the center.
- Seal the dough carefully into smooth balls.
- Roll each mochi ball in coconut flakes until fully coated.
- Chill for 20 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Dust hands lightly with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Chill the filling before assembling for easier wrapping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Freeze individually wrapped mochi for longer storage.
