Description

A bold and aromatic Thai-style fried rice packed with chili heat, tender chicken, and fragrant basil, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup diced chicken breast
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chili peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat a wok or large pan over high heat.
  2. Beat the eggs lightly and set aside.
  3. Add oil to the pan and swirl to coat.
  4. Add garlic and chili, sauté briefly, then add chicken and cook until done.
  5. Push ingredients to the side and scramble eggs, then mix together.
  6. Add rice, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar, stir well and cook until heated through.
  7. Add basil leaves and stir until just wilted.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for best texture
  • Adjust chili for preferred spice level
